Do you tried put empty SD card in Nuvi before update?!
Hi
hope it's the right place
well before the update of the western europe map 2013.30 i delete all the voices and i get 270mb of free space
i updated and i get only 57mb of free space
before i had these files name and size
after the update i have these filesCode:Please Login or Register to see the links
may i delete 1 of these file to gain more free space?Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
the problem is that a friend of mine did not delete the voices file so he tried to update with all voices and 50mb (i'm no sure) but he bought and it came with about 50mb of free space
he used GarminMapUpdater and after the download , before installing the maps it stopped with a warning no free space
sadly he doesn't know if the updater gaves hime the possibility to use the sd like [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
well
does someone had the same problem ? not enough space with 2545 or similar device to update?
and about the future updates? i have not so many files to delete to obtain free space
thanks
cheers

Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?
It is very strange! Usually before uploading map the latest version of GarminMapUpdater (3.1.19 or 3.1.20) report about not enough free space in device and suggest to use a SD-card. What version of GarminMapUpdater you use?

I had the same with my 3790/34xx and with a 8gb sd inserted in Nuvi,it didnt see the sdI had to create a virtual 6 GB nuvi.
GarminMapUpdater 3.1.20
You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
Another Suggestion.
Take a Blank USB Thumb Drive (Fat32) >= 8GB
Copy your Whole Nuvi Drive to the Thumb Drive (including the .system hidden folder)
Update as Normal
Now you have all the updated files from Garmin on the USB Drive.
Garmin will delete the files that you don't need anymore.
Next Step is to copy back to your Nuvi.
Advantages of this method.
You now have an off site Backup of your Nuvi files. (In Case your computer crashes.)
You can use this Drive with Basecamp instead of always having to plug in your Nuvi.

i would like to know [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] for which models GarminMapUpdater does it
