Raster mapping is quite different to the Vector mapping which we are more familiar with. By explanation, some comparisons:

Oh, I tried to show a means of placing short links to eBay items that don't line wrap when pasted here. Immediately after hitting the "Post' button and seeing it post I then remembered outside links are not allowed "bare' fashion.

So here's aekhong's link to that 3760, but this time in a "Code' box.

    Code:
Please Login or Register to see the links
Just paste the item number after ebay.com/itm/<Item Number>

Same below without the http and it isn't tripping the link translator/interpreter

    ebay.com/itm/280838792758

    ********

I like catymags' idea of the nuvi 500 series. Water, trail, and road w/o the frills. Plus the benefit of carrying extra batteries while camping or trekking.

    ebay.com/itm/350531486614 <- Refurb'd nuvi 550 for $189US

Not sure this is timely anymore since this is an old thread, but for anyone who comes to it, stay away from any unit without an SD or micro SD slot. I have a Dakota 10 without a card slot, and it's driving me crazy after only 2 weeks.

I guess, Nuvi 34** and 35**, since both have 800x480px display. Processor must be pretty power to serve that.
