I've been looking for a way to install single IMG maps into mapsource, and after many unsuccessful attempts I came upon this tutorial which solved it for me. I tried the directions step by step and it turned out to be easy and trustworthy.

this tutorial is pretty old and files in rar to download too, better to use new GMapTool version and new Mapsetoolkit
