Garmin nüvi 3790T stuck on "Loading maps"

Hi!

Garmin nüvi 3790T in stuck on "Loading maps"! Garmin Express does not see it connected to the computer..

In Garmin Cure 3, for a moment I sees the nav from the USB Device menu, I can start the update but then the whole system stops first with the screen you see where you notice that the device is no longer appearing in the USB Device menu,



and then with the error window "IOU_UTILITIES.CPP-203-2.8"

The nav start in pre-boot, first with "SYSTEM" word, after stuck on LOADER"

It's dropping out of pre-boot as shown by the device's details disappearing from the window next to "USB Device". Try different USB cables and also different USB2 ports (use rear PC port only, not USB3 and no hub). Also ensure you maintain firm steady pressure on the screen until after "Loader" appears, even right until the flash finishes if necessary.

With an old computer all go well, update completed! My Italian language was missing, fortunately I had a backup and I copied it by hand like other files, such as help, etc. Unfortunately with the voice command the Find address function does not work, it tells me that this function is not enabled for the Italy map, how can I solve?

To use voice command (i.e Automatic Speech Recognition) you must have all the required ASR files for the relevant map version as well as the Italian language SRD (Speech Recognition Data) file. Also in the case of using European maps you must have the entire map data for all EU loaded, if even one single map segment is missing you'll get that message. See this thread for more explanation generally, it's specifically referencing "American English" but the principle is the same for all other languages using Voice Command in capable devices: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

Installed Europe 2019.10 NTU:

About Maps

Europe 2019.10 NTU - All South D6210060A.img

And ASR found in other site.

But I did this:
Europe 2019.10 NTU - All South rename D6210060A.img to gmapprom.img and copy it in internal nav storage
Europe 2019.10 NTU - All North rename gmapprom.img to D6210060A.img and copy it in SD Card

Do you think that this is a problem for voice command? Commando Go to map it is OK, only Go to Address, Find City is not enabled.

Wrong ASR? Where I can download it again?

We don't have the maps or ancillary files on this site anymore so it's not easy to give you specific advice and i cannot help with download sources for that reason. However, as far as i can remember <any_name.img works in both Garmin and Map folders on microSD for 37x0 series. Certainly gmapsupp.img will work in Garmin root folder of the card. As well as the correct ASR (1) files for the map version, as i mentioned before you need the Italian language SRD file but only on the device internal memory in ASR Folder. The ASD map files can go on the card however. ASR files are also issued in a later compilation for other devices (from 34x0 onwards from memory) and it is known as "ASR (2)" which won't work in 37x0 devices.
