gpsmap 64s firmware patch

Hi there, I got online the GPSMAP64_WebUpdater__500.gcd patched but someone say to collocate it in the \garmin root and reboot but this procedure doesn't work. Which is the correct procedure?

Just rename the file to gupdate.gcd and put it in the garmin folder, of sd card or internal memory, it will be installed automatically. Make sure that gps is switched off effectively, it will not be installed if it is switched on from the stand by.
