Convertion Nuvi Serie 3xxx in Nuvi 3597

Hello all.
Has anyone tried to convert the 3790 or another model in the series 3xxx in the new nuvi 3597?

From what i know, nobody try it yet, but you can be first

Just simple conversion attempt using 3590 boot and 3597 f1_resources & fw_all doesn't work. Freezes on logo at boot, tries to restart when forced off. Flashes back ok. We need you to go under the hood Loly.

Try on 3490 with original 3597 FW (3597 boot.bin, resources.bin and fw_all.bin), flash go OK but after restar, stuck on black screen, the same situation like when we try to flash 3590 FW on nuvi 3xxx series.
Maybe will some other have more luck when he flash on nuvi 3790, but i think that no go becouse 35xx series have bigger screen.

Procedure is the same like when you convert 37xx to 34xx

remove gupdate.gcd from .System folder

rename text, keyboard, voice folder to something else

clear non vol

Download rgn below

drag and drop on updater.exe and flash

p.s.
if you stuck on black screen you must find spot on screen for enter pre boot to flash back to 34xx ( above letter G, but you dont see G you must press screen on blinde)

As you may see from the log above - the process even started crashes almost immediately.
Should I downgrade the unit to 3790 FW and to start from this poin or it will be useless?

It will be useless if you downgrade to 3790.
Something is wrong on your Pc or with updater.exe, becouse on my pc was no error from updater.exe, only black screen after convertiov was done.

I can't agree on the above as Updater is running with all other rgn files. No errors, no shut downs - perfect performance. Changing FW with no problem at all.
There should be something else....

I will try again on XP when i have my nuvi back from trip and write step by step tutorial
