Thanks for the post. One question -- Which type of file is compatible with nuvi 1490t? My research shows type02 but I want to confirm with you guys/gals first.

Looks like Type10 (nüvi 1690) would be a good match for a nüvi 1490.
Type02 seems to be the same as Type10 but also with MapSource install added. Use Type02 if you want the additional MapSource installation on a PC.

Yes, should be possible. I have the Deluxe also on my 765 installed
