I have had similar problems and not found a solution.
Hey all made a custom map with global mapper i used cgps to compile it but for some reason after compiling i have gaps in the polygons they don't seam together in some part for the life of me i can't fix this.
so i tried to compile with mpc and works fine no gaps at all only problem is they don't have good points that work for me at least in the map that i made marine.
so i tried to compile areas, lines, and some points with mpc and then all my marine points with cgps and then join with gmaptool works in mapsource but units did not realy care for this.
I would like to use cgps for all compile so please is there away to fix the gap problem or is it me.

Testing with the map levels now I will give update if this works.
Ok this fixed 97% of the problem. In the mp header make sure u have the SimplifyLevel=10.
I also put 6 levels in level0=24,level1=23,level2=22 and so on I only lowered 1 bit per level.
Tested with free version of cgps I paid for personal version some months ago but upgraded to new computer key did not work.
not sure if paid version will fix the rest of this problem.
Same problem here. I have cGPSmapper Pro and cGPSmapper Standard. (the older version) Both are registered. When I compile same marine map .mp with the Standard version-no gaps, same map with the Pro version-gaps. I tryed the header like you did, and it helped in the chart ploter, but not in Mapsource. There I can still see the gaps. It looks like the new version is rendering differend to the older Standard version. If you open those two .img files from the same .mp in notepad, then you can see differenc in them. Not that I would understand what the differenz means, but there is one. I sure would like to find the problem, because the old version don't make G2 charts.
