Custom maps using scanned jpg maps

Hello all,

I'm trying to create custom maps from scanned .jpg maps for motorbike trails. The maps are only available in paper form. I have created the maps in Google Earth as overlay, time consuming but it worked , transferreed the maps to my navi, also o.k. but it seems the resolution is to high. I have reduced the scan resolution to a miminimum, still no luck.

Can anyone help. Thanks.

Edit the resolution for example with...Global Mapper. Just again extract to kmz and chose new rez.
