When I try to search "Where To" for an intersection, my Garmin Nuvi asks which State/Province. When I type in the State of Sonora - it is not found.
1) Where do I specify the State when authoring the map?
2) I see Postal code as an attribute of searchable items. However, the postal codes in Mexico are the same format as in the USA. For example 85506 is the postal code of my city in Sonora. It is also the postal code in Tucson Arizona.
3) Is there anything I have to do as a map author to enable searching for intersections?
Or, since everything in my map is in the same State - how do I get Nuvi to not ask the "Which State or Province" question?
I created a routeable map of the city in Mexico where I live in winter. I created the map in GPSMapEdit and converted to Garmin using cGpsMapper. Searching to POIs in the map itself works. Searching for cities works. I have NOT assigned postal codes to the cities or roads in my map.
This map is the only map "active" (other than the global base map). I am using a Nuvi 200 with software level current.
