P.S. I found a new changes not included in official list:
Added a separated tuning for sound notification for proximity alerts by types - single or continuous alerts.
(Attention! Since text files not changed this function have only English translation. So you need translate this new tuning text line yourself.)

Short story about 5.30. My team and I use Nuvi 760 for marine navigation. That unit support a BlueChart and voice in off-road mode! All of 4 unit had hung out in its time. Now problem with hard reset, but we are victim of modern technology and do not know how use a Sextant. So deleted points on route was blow to the kidneys literally and figuratively. Two of our device was recalled Garmin because of flammable battery. There is the question. If I will killed by fire on sea who is to blame?

Answer: I am idiot and change 4.90 to new 5.40 again.

How is the fiirmware for NUVI 750 ? ID is 754 but dont work whit nuvi 760 firmware! updater.exe say problem whit zone or someting else

The 'standard' nuvi 750 [not the Nissan nuvi 750] is the same HWID as the 760 - both are 0754 and use the same fw. Please explain the updater.exe message fully. Did you put the nuvi properly into pre-boot? It's a little different to others. Firstly have updater.exe open on your desktop with the *.rgn file already loaded and a dot in the 'USB Device' radio button. With unit OFF hold the upper RIGHT corner of screen, slide power button to left then quickly to the right to lock and as soon as the Garmin logo appears immediately plug in the mini-usb to the unit. When your unit's details appear in the USB Window of updater.exe, quickly press the 'OK' button. Keep holding the upper RH corner until 'Loader' appears on the nuvi's screen and wait for the process to finish. The easiest way is to just use WebUpdater or simply add the GUPDATE.GCD file in the unit's Garmin folder and reboot it.

Version 5.40 is the latest available, I'll add it to the initial post here. I moved your post above from the Index.

EDIT: Are you sure you don't have a Nissan nuvi? It's got a different HWID of 0785. To check the hwid: Hold the battery symbol on the main screen ['Where To? View Map'] for ~6 seconds, then press Next>Start Test>More. The 2nd entry in the top three lines should be 'B0754-00'. If it's B0785-00 or similar you're using the wrong fw.

BTW, best to keep posting here rather than using PMs. That way others can also help or maybe even be helped.
