i'm trying to update an old tomtom xl 32mb ram so that i can use tts.
have already tried different navcores (9.4xx versions with ram- boost and without it which are created by you, thank you btw).
problem is that i often get restarts with boot loops. this is very annoying. i read about it that i should navigate to a large route after the installation so that the swap file can be created. i also changed the emulation to slf-self -> iq routes are missing and it doesn't really help.
so i thought that voices might safe performence.
If you use one of my NC's with memory boost it should work just fine.
I do agree that some XL models can be a pain to update but in general there should be no problems.
Try a clean install on an empty device.
Best option is just the plain NC and check if it works, you should get a "no maps..." warning.
After that add the map and use FastActivate to activate the map, the Navcore is already patched (if you use mine).
If your bootloader is still below 5.5112 it might also be a cause for problems with the V9 Navcores.
Most reboot problems are related to old stuff kept on the device before updating.

hi, google brought me here, those links not working anymore except tomtom's, i downloaded samantha and unzip and copy to root of one v3, but can't see it from voice setting, anything wrong? folder name is VocalizerTTS, in which there are two sub-folders: common and languages, correct?
thanks in advance
with NavCore-9.170SE
