Thread: [SOLVED] Spilt map, then address to search doesn't work. Help!

I used the original mapsource (Gmap dir) and import it into the Mapsource. Select several sub-maps what I want and transfer them to the SD card. However, the address search still doesn't work.

BTW, the address search in the Mapsource is working well with the original North America 2014.10 Gmap dir.

Any comment!

Using the MAPInstall is the same results. Can't search the addree in my mobile phone.

We do not understand! What do you mean under import it into the Mapsource and the original North America 2014.10 Gmap dir and the gmaptoll to split the map? We do all easy - unpack the original Gmap dir to map destination directory for Mapsource, launch Mapsource, select maps and transfer its to SD. Do you do the same action?

copy gmap folder in:
(in XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps)
or
(in Vista, Windows 7 - C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps)

You'll have your map in Mapsource. Nothing to install, nothing to split. Just unlock it if it's not already unlocked.
Select map tiles you need in Mapsource and send them to device by "send to device" tool

Use Mapsource or Mapinstall. (Make sure that you have an original .gmap folder, NOT one made with gmaptool) as per posts above.
Put USB Flash disk in Usb Port on PC.
Choose tiles.
Send to Usb thumb drive. (Application will think this is a SD card)
Copy gmapsupp.img from USB thumb drive to Phone.
