    Default Upgrading mio m400 with igo8 or igo primo

    I would be most appreciative to receive the latest IGO8 or IGO Primo for the Mio M400 as well as the newest USA Maps, POI's, etc...
    If I understand correctly, all I would have to do is connect my Mio M400 to my computer, drag all the contents out of my Mio M400 to a desktop folder to empty.
    Then, I would drag the required IGO8 or IGO Primo and the USA Maps, POI's etc..
    into my Mio device.
    If by chance I am not successful, I would remove and replace my original folders.
    If correct, a step by step tutorial and links to the above will be most appreciated.

    Simple solution how to instal iGO8 or Primo on Mio Moov M400:

    1. First of all, make full backup of your device to your PC
    2. Because M400 doesnt have SD option, therefore is essential, that you free as much space from Mio device. You can delete all Miomap maps and lang files. They all have .cfg extension. You will find them in dir My Flash Disk\Program files\Miomap\
    3. Copy Primo dir on root of the Flash disk (not in any folder!)
    4. open \My Flash Disk\Program Files\MioMap\appstartupsec.ini in editor and change this lines:

    RelativePath=TRUE
    ProcessFile=Program Files/MioMap/MioMap.exe
    to
    RelativePath=FALSE
    ProcessFile=\\..\\My Flash Disk\\Primo\\Primo.exe

    * save and exit.
    5. Enjoy!

    TomTom realy isnn't best solution for WinCE devices. I suggest you much better solution - iGO8 or even better iGO Primo 2.0. The solution is described above your post.

    In Mio S series you also have to change appstartupsec.ini, but the file is located in \My Flash Disk\Program Files\Navman directory. You need to change:

    [Process1]
    RelativePath=TRUE
    ProcessFile=SmartST_CE.exe
    DefaultCmdLine=
    BootCmdLine=
    StartOnBoot=1
    MaxRestarts=3
    TreatCloseAsError=TRUE
    Major=TRUE
    WindowName=SmartST_CE
    MaxCloseMessages=10
    KeysToForward=0x7A,0xC4
    KeysToBoot=

    to

    [Process1]
    RelativePath=TRUE
    ProcessFile=\\..\\My Flash Disk\\Primo\\Primo.exe
    DefaultCmdLine=
    BootCmdLine=
    StartOnBoot=1
    MaxRestarts=3
    TreatCloseAsError=TRUE
    Major=TRUE
    WindowName=SmartST_CE
    MaxCloseMessages=10
    KeysToForward=0x7A,0xC4
    KeysToBoot=

    and save!

    I installed iGO Primo Kia (Boki's edition) on my friend's Mio Moov M400, which had terrible stock software and maps from 2009.
    3. Copy Primo dir on root of the Flash disk (not in any folder!)
    4. open \My Flash Disk\Program Files\MioMap\appstartupsec.ini in editor and change this lines:
    When I did it your way, the program wouldn't start and it'd just make two extra folders outside of the main Primo folder, called content and save, and even upon putting content in the aforementioned folder, it still wouldn't open, and nothing would happen on the device. So, instead, I put the iGO folder in the program files folder, where the MioMap folder is and I changed the path in appstartupsec.ini to \Program Files\Primo Kia\MobileNavigator.exe and it now runs like a dream.
    I'm sorry if this is unnecessary, I just wanted to share in case someone is having the same issue as I was.

    My M400 (iGO Primo 2.4) is having more and more difficulty finding satellites. The reason is the material of the windshield of my Peugeot. With other cars it finds satellites faster.
