Thread: Installing Garmin Nuvi 1350 map. How to?

since i do not know if you are installing europe or scg i answered for europe.

if you are installing both europe and scg do one first then the other---
rename the second map to gmapsupp.img and copy it to your garmin's garmin directory.

it sounds like you installed a mapsource version and unlocked it with all.bat--without first running reverse converter--in which case its searching and other good stuff has been removed----the map is now worthless-please flush it..

suggest you move the map in your gps's garmin directory to your computer-to make room for a new map--

download this europe version 2011.20 full europe unlocked image--

rename it to gmapprom.img and copy it to your gps's garmin directory--
thats it---don't do anything else--

i now it sounds to easy to work---
a lot has changed in the past year on installing maps--and you were following the old screwed up way..

the map installed in c:/garmin an Map Source shows the cities of SCG with maps ,
moved the unloacker files to c:/garmin and ran the All.bat , says maps unlocked

all fine and dandy ,

how do I move the maps to my garmin device now?

The first time you use your device it require at least 5 minutes to get satellites signals and you must be preferably in a wide space ,outdoor-

catymag I am trying to install North America 2013.20 map (USA and Canada ) on my old nuvi 1350 which has 2011 map on it. Now I deleted gmapprom file from .system file so that I can make some space for 2013. But it seems like 2013 is 1.62 gb and I have only around 153 GB on the nuvi. I do not want to use sd card, is there anyway I can delete any file to make more space.

It says 220mB used space and 153 Gb available after deleteing the gmapprom filefrom.system folder. still not enough space.

The Way to do this is using Mapsource Installation of the Map.
You can then choose which map tiles you are unlikely to need in the immediate future and leave them out.
