Warnings worked in France first 18 days of September for most fixed locations in SCDB database. The odd one or two not giving warnings could well have been due to 'update lag'.
It seems that TomTom has added something that stops warnings being given in France for POIs like camera databases. While traveling with my trusted TT730, my own camera POI databases give warnings fine in Holland, Belgium and Germany, but the moment I drive into France, no warning is given for most cameras. I know the POIs are loaded correctly as the camera icon does show on the map, but no warning is given, both audible nor the additional icon in the top left hand corner.
I have noticed a borders.dat file in both the 890 and 895 maps. Could this be the culprit? I have tried to remove it, but the 730 starts rebooting itself in a continuous loop.
Does anyone have the same problem, suggestions or even a solution?

You will never get a 100% perfect warning system as police and councils will also use these databases to find spots that are not listed.
This is especially true for mobile sites, quite often they got reported because of a blitz for a few days - but for the rest of the year the police does not check there anymore.
Another thing is the lack of knowledge from some users:
Speed-, Radar- and Traffic-cams often look very similar, resulting in false alarms genrated by people that did not know the difference between a traffic and a speed cam.

Well, I found the problem. On the 7xx and 9xx the later navcores don't allow poi warnings at known camera sites in France. Rolling back to navcore 9401 or earlier allows the speedcam or danger zone warnings again.
