Is it OK to use or do we have to lie about the version no, keeping 2.8.3.2499?
2.9.1.2780 for Windows
2.9.1.1634 for Mac
Probably because new maps are imminent

Something I've just noticed (unless I'm wrong) is that it insists on you registering/logging in even to get mapshare updates so I've reverted back to previous version 2.9.2.2837
Another thing they've done is the handling of interrupted downloads of large files, like a map. The new Home version will deal with the process more efficiently...

From another post by biggerdave just realised that you can download older versions of TomTom Home from e.g.In your browser just change the version number at the end of the URL to what you want.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
Note by MODE: the link does not host sites (sharing) should be in the CODE tags and unlink.Tnx

Am I right, that TomTom Home insists on making an update from version 2.9.2.2837 to version 2.9.3 ?
Does anybody know, if there's a chance not to update automatically ( it updates right after starting TomTom Home without an option to avoid it...) ? The target would be to be still able to get latest quickgps and mapshare information without being forced to "login" to TomTom Home. Thank you for any advice...
There's no necessity to login, and never was. However TTHome always suggests to login, but you can simply refuse by closing this window.
As for "forcing to update navcore" - nothing changed, so follow advices in TomTom Tutorials & Discussions section
Unfortunately you did get me wrong. I was talking about the unwanted update of the TomTom Home version from version 2.9.2.2837 to version 2.9.3.
This update is happening as soon as I start TomTomHome version 2.9.2.2837. And a fact is that I have to login (since TT Home version 2.9.3.) when I want to get mapshare and quickgps information updates. So I was not talking about "navcore update" but about TomTom Home version update.
Sorry, I thought that my English is not that hard to understand.
