Hello,
I download the files. With winrar I made just one file name gmapprom.img. size 3 101 824 ko
I belived I have to click on it to decompress but that does not work.

How can I make it work ?

you don't need to decompress, put it on your device like .img file
it's like any other map

All ok, after splitting with gmaptool 06, excellent in mapsource, but I cannot read with basemap. Bm reads in 3D standard maps, original Dem maps, but doesn't see this 301. Can you suggest something?

One remark still to the previous version of the map in previous (already closed) discussion thread - regarding map "Garmin Recreational Map of Europe 3.00 - MapSource". If you attempt to install it into the Mapsource v 6.16.3, please use the file "install.bat" contained in the map directory "Family_469" but you need to edit the registry path in the "install.bat" file from "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Garmin\MapSource" to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Garmin\MapSource". Then it works.

Recreational Map of Europe v3.1 2011 version

This map was preloaded in a Montana
Compared to the 62st's map this map has 50m contour lines and it shows considerably more detailed small roads and even paths. It's much more detailed in some regions like Iceland or Turkey but it is still not routable and has no search index.

Download ist not possible with JDownloader?

I get the Message at Status: "Developer Version of JD needed!"

I never saw this message before. What can be wrong?

EDIT: it seems it is a known problem JDownloader vs. Zippyshare :-(

EDIT2: there are no streetnames and nearly no other other information text in the new version

The map in post #6 is "Recreational Map Europe v3.1". It's GMapTool that puts a leading zero (0) to the minor version when you list the info or details.

Using the write with version 3.1 ...

- no need to use jdownloader anyway because zippyshare is fast like hell
- streetnames are included but not displayed, same as POI names. Maybe one user modifies the typ file to improve that...?

here is the modified typ file with which street names are shown (replace the original file in your Mapsource installation):

works fine - now all additional information is shown

But it is no MapSource Installation needet to change Typefile.

Use Change TYP File 1.0.0.1 by Pietu to change directly in the Image File:
