Hi, thaks for this map MF.
Please Mr. Marcio, when Garmin will release a version for MapSource?
This version does contain the files and the other JVC announced but still missing?
Greetings for all
Marcio, please inform:
1) Brazil: is the "full" version of the CNBrazil map inside the CNSouthAmerica map?
In other words, this "South America" version includes the "complete" version of the Brazilian maps from CNBrazil?
2) Chile: is the full version of the "NavChile 3.35" map inside the CNSouthAmerica map?
3) Argentina: is the full version of the "Geosistemas INAV 10.02 map inside the CNSouthAmerica map?
Thanks in advance, it seems like it is much better to have only one map installed (SouthAmerica) instead of the 3 separate ones I alternate (Brazil, Chile, Argentina).
Just to confirm if they contain the same maps...
1) Brazil: is the "full" version of the CNBrazil map inside the CNSouthAmerica map?

Yes... City Navigator south America ALL NT 2012,version of this topic, includes Brazil ("complete" version), Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina, Chile French Guiana and Florida (EUA)...
2) Chile: is the full version of the "NavChile 3.35" map inside the CNSouthAmerica map?
not ... is different..... NavChile is a Third Party Mapping Product. Belonging to a company called Centro GPS Ltda.
CNSouthAmerica is a map of company called NAVTEQ.
3) Argentina: is the full version of the "Geosistemas INAV 10.02 map inside the CNSouthAmerica map?
not ... is different.... Argentina INAV map is a Third Party Mapping Product. Belonging to a company called Geosistemas.
CNSouthAmerica is a map of company called NAVTEQ.
It's the same thing as saying that Garmin uses database of the AutoGuia in the CNBrazil map...
this obviously does not occur; CNBrazil belongs to NAVTEQ...
AutoGuia belongs to Multiespctral.
Is recommended to use the following maps (for south of south america) associated with the CNSouthAmerica;
Proyeto Mapear
Argentina INAV
NAvChile
BolMap (Bolivia)
...

Marcio,
Thanks a lot, excellent explanation.
So, you would suggest using both versions (one at a time, of course) depending on the case (like switching between CNBr, Autoguia and TRC depending on the city/route/needs), right?
I am installing this to a friend that does not know the difference between a GPS and a cell phone, so maybe I'll just install the SAmerica for him and test the multimaps myself.
NavChile works very well...
