Thread: GarminMobilePC 5.00.70g (English+Russian+Finnish+Swedish+Romanian )

Hi ........

I can't transfer waypoints from MapSource 6.16.2 to GMPC 5.00.70g into the favourites folder.
Any idea how to solve this issue?

Is there any reason to keep 5.00.70g or is going back to an older version a easy workarround?

anyone who is using this GarminMobilePC and he got this msg:

to get rid of that msg i have found something what can help some people,tested and also working by me:

"i did “Go to Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Disable Floppy Disk"

I recently installed Garmin Mobile PC, but I can not read maps, GMP version is 5.00.60 properly installed in accordance with the tutorial is when I do the transfer cards with MapSource GMPC he said ID cGMP does not unlock the map, or as the map is now well in cGMP but I have a black screen for topo Morocco V2!

I allready have installed garmin xt in my mobile phone..I tried to install garmin pc in my laptop,I have basemap and last detail map from my phone but I don't know how to use unlock generator..It needs an unit ID..were can I find it in my laptop????..
Then I know that I have to take the generation code,I have to put it in the sw.unl folder and place it into the garmin pc folder..

Open Garmin MobilePC. Go to Settings/About. Make note of the Unit ID No. near the top of the page. Open KeyGen 1.5 and type in the ID, select MobilePC and hit generate. Copy and paste the generated numbers to Notepad, save as sw.unl (use "all files") into the program folder (usually C:\GarminMobilePC).

That's exactly what I've done as well, no problems but when I click 'Settings' in MobilePC, then 'About', it shows the Unit ID followed by '(Subscription expires on 22/9/2011)'. <-- Can this safely be ignored, or will I have to reinstall? [Noob disclaimer: when I installed it, I stupidly neglected to allow Windows Firewall to block internet contact with Garmin - so maybe I need to reinstall MobilePC after setting the firewall correctly?]

Also, is there any way to set my initial location/position when the program starts? (I'm using it to test my maps and set up favorites, POIs etc. without any actual GPS unit attached.)
