City Navigator Southern Africa NT 2011.10: MAC + Mapsource instalation
GMAP folder

Instalation for RoadTrip for MAC and Mapsource

Download: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] (password: mac)

Prerequisites: Garmin software for MAC: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
RoadTrip for MAC instalation: just click the .gmap file and it is installed!
Mapsource instalation (Unlocked): GMAP folder is Mapsource compatible. Move the GMAP folder into location: in XP - C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GARMIN\Maps
(in Vista, Windows 7 - C:\ProgramData\GARMIN\maps). Restart Mapsource.
Folders are hidden. Before moving the GMAP folder, check "Show hidden files and folders" option.

Hey - you guys are great but could you upload to a server (like Rapidshare) that is available worldwide please. I keep getting "This service is temporarily not available from your service area."

TYP file for mapsource version

just put in main gmap directory, the same like info.xml

and edit Info.xml
add a line with TYP description:

the first is the IMG , the second is Mapsource install for MAC

I'm getting a "corrupt" or "invalid/unsupported" error when I try to mount the IMG file (gmapsupp.img: size: 44,447,744 bytes, CRC32: 69B2FCF8).

Going to S. Africa in a couple of weeks and could really use this map. Thanks!

Do not mount them. They are not for burning if the extension could mean that.
Its a complete map, just copy to ur device, what ever it is.
Beside have a look at Garmap. They are from a local supplier and most likely more updated

Sorry, I'm new to Garmin stuff, and I don't have a Garmin device
I'm trying to install them on a PC for use with MapSource only.
Can I use this version of the map for that? Or has it already been "extracted" from the DVD and unlocked for use in a Garmin device only?
