No , you'r not the only one,
better to use a card reader.
I have a problem with copying to the SD card in the nuvi 3760T with original firmware 3.60 and Transcend microSDHC card 16GB class 6
Copying of wiles is dead slow, only 35 KB/s !
Anyone else has faced same problem? Solution?
What results do you get from your cards?
In theory it should be at least 1.8 MB/s, like the internal memory of device.

Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
This is very strange, is this problem persistent with all firmware versions and all makes of cards?
If the process of transferring files is so long, I hope the internal communication of garmin software to the data card is at full speed,
or it will become unuasble at 35KB/s
Anybody getting good performance (file copy speed) on SD cards via USB link to Nuvi 37xx? Or it is blocked to 35KB/s ?
It is software bug of last version SW...
v3.90 firmware, bug still there ;-(
still the same problem with FW v4.1
No solution yet with FW v4.20, and often I need to verify with windows explorer for error.
Use a card reader,not safe to transfer files in sd when inserted in gps,

My firmware has been ver 2.30 since I started using it several months ago. No issue with copying to my 8 gb microSD as it is quite fast. I learnt that it may not be prudent to keep upgrading the firmware each time it becomes available. As long as the existing firmware remains stable and problem free, why fix it if it ain't broke. Latest firmware may not necessarily be the better firmware.
