So how do I obtain the taiwan GCD file from my Taiwan firmware?

Difficult, I checked already Garmin Taiwan website for Firmware file, but all known combinations didn't find anything.
Could you maybe send by PM your Garmindevice.xml. Would like to test sth.

Or software version 2.50 is US firmware ???

I still wonder why you have (Sg/My) gupdate.gcd file in your Taiwan unit.
Did you buy it from Garmin dealer?
Why did you have swv 2.50 at first ? (2.50 is swv of US firmware)
Is it possible that ., the shop converted US unit to other region ?

Could you please go into inventory page to check boot HWID ?
Normally it should be the real hwid of the unit.

Even navlem didn't reply anymore, but Garmin Taiwan released today FW 2.10 for the 3790 in Taiwan.
So its getting more and more a mystery with the version 2.50.
