map is unlocked

This mapset would need a much better description. It's a real disappointment for those who spend a lot of time to download and extract this and see the unwanted result. Anyone can do this quick-and-dirty solution with an IMG-file as a source.

The mapset is just a reverse engineered IMG-file converted to MapSource by gMapTol and cGpsMapper.

It's therefore lost the search functionality and the zoom level is bad for the preview map.

Does this version have any advantages over the img version that can also be downloaded? Is one better than the other for an Oregon 450?

If you need map only for navigation with Garmin device, then IMG version from post #2 is better solution because search function is probably not broken.
