Malsingmaps Improved Speed Trap POI for Garmin Mobile XT & Nuvi - 29th August 2009

Is really working? I've tried to download and extract the files into \garmin folder, but it seems that nothing is come out when i launch Garmin XT?

Hi,

I hope I have posted this in the right section.....her goes:

I have nokia N97 with Gamin Mobile XT and have the most up to date database of speed cameras but was wondering what exaactly should happen as I approach the speed cameras?

At the moment it shows me the legal speed, but does not show any cameras and does not giv any aubible warning. Is this right or should more happen?

I followed the instructions and installed the file in the right directory?

Any help woul dbe gratefully appreciated.

There will be some changes to this new series compared to the past for Nuvi Users Only!

1) You will find 2 Separate Files in your Custom POI menu :

For Example :
- Speed_80 (Contains the Major Speed Trap Alert POI with Speed Trap Icon)
- Speed_80Misc (Contains all the miscellaneous alert POI which are separated so that it will not alert you when you driving on the highway above and it will be replaced with the Silver Ball POI)

2 Separate Files :

Speed Trap POI (For 700 Series) :

Silver Ball POI :
229

2) There will be 2 Separate GPI files for Nuvi Users as different Speed Trap Images are used.
E.g : SpeedTrap300_V090425.gpi & SpeedTrap700_V090425.gpi :

a) SpeedTrap300
- Target for users using Nuvi 2XX, 3XX etc.
- Image Size : 18 x 18 pixels, 71 x 71 dpi
- Audio File : Using WAV Format, PCM 44.100kHz 16Bit Mono

b) SpeedTrap700
- Target for users using Nuvi 6XX, 7XX etc.
- Image Size : 24 x 24 pixels, 71 x 71 dpi
- Audio File : Using MP3 Format
