GIS and navigation
I tryed to find topomaps for GIS programs from Europe.
As background. Germany Netherlands Belgium first.
Do someone have them
Geografic Information Systems.
for example in a program like MapwindowGIS
Mostly i use Garmin mapsource but,
Goverments gives files with area information in shape format *.shp.
I like to see if my routes and tracks cross these area's, mostly there are special rules in such area.
Like to see when i am in/out of such a area.
Tryed to set it over to Google earth, it can, but ther some many area, small pieces of ground (as track with fill in) that my PC can not managed that.
Someone TOPO cards ?

Not realy maps.
Therefor i search for topo maps.
I am just exploring this type of geografic info,
Goverments, today, has many types of info in shape, for example wildlife parks.
They work with gis systems, because the info on google earth, is not accurate, see the pictures an streets, the difference.
and this is from place to place different.
So on what land your standing on must be accurate.
Already had Basecamp on my pc, is birdseye accurate?
Try to download it.

Accuracy depends on area, some are very good. You have to download images interesting for you.
