CATY, let's clear some issues:
1) A map is searchable ONLY if:
a)it is created by authors as a SINGLE GMAPSUPP.IMG file
b)it is exported from an ORIGINAL Mapsource kit as a SINGLE GMAPSUPP.IMG file also
I can't stress enough how important it is for 'search' feature to have an original Mapsource kit OR gmapsupp.img file
2) A map is ALWAYS NOT searchable (thus not equal to a decent Mapsource version) if it was DECOMPILED from a GMAPSUPP.IMG using tools like GMapTool and cgpsmapper.
Note: a decompiled map is easily recognizable. It is a single folder having the following files inside: install.bat, uninstall.bat, MANY .img files, mapset00.mdx, mapset00.mp, mapset00.tdb. Usually they are unlocked and don't have a preview file.
CONCLUSION: The so-called Mapsource Anavasi maps in this post are ALL from category 2. FAKE Mapsource versions. So Caty, please don't spread anymore INACCURATE info.
