Garmin Syria and Lebanon maps + New Lebanon mapsource (Detailed Unlocked) upd. 21-11-08

I've been looking for that map for ages. I tried bassamnak's map and it's awesome but Garmin mobile xt only shows the first letter of each name so Jisr el Bacha is shown as JEB..is there a way to fix that?
also how do i install the other map? (the one that comes with multiple files that do nt include gmapsupp.img)

For the map I posted it will only work with a garmin nuvi and not with garmin mobile!!as for the other one with multiple files you need to download Mapsource and install it from there.
here is the link which will explain to you how to download Mapsource :

once downloaded and installed (by running first main.exe) select your map with the map tool icon and go to send to my device then send.

For all the people who want a decent Garmin Lebanon map,we need someone to upload the Lebanon map files of his Garmin SD card on megaupload or mediafire plzzz!!!!!!!

The two maps that are availble have major drawbacks,The map posted in the original post has an indexing problem,and the one i posted is old like 2005 old, so some of the POI's are outdated!!!its better than nothing.....for now

I've tried all of the above and still didn't work.
I used custom map for the fields and when creating the file, it's still asking for product key.
I'm using Garmin mobile XT.
Is there anyway to unlock lebanon map or get the product id ?

hi it depends of the map that you have, for lebanon try

Use Jetmouse to unlock,
FID(or MAPID): 5084
PID: 2
RgnID: 2
VenID: 0

if it doesn't work try

Map ID: 289

but i downloaded one that is unlocked and one that is locked and unlocked with jetmouse key *****er
