    White screen problem make me crazy too.. It's no way to resolve the problem even I recently bought a new LCD screen and replace it, the white screen problem still persist. I hv tried many thing like previously what I was done, Erased Region 5, 43 and 48, unfortunately it can be erased but unable to write.
    Does anyone know why region 5,43 and 48 unable to write ? does it has other way to write this region ?

    Thanks

    @xporch,
    Great to hear your Nuvi still Power ON
    My 2nd Nuvi 255w (White Screen) after erased Region 5 & 43, it still Power ON, want to make it dead also difficult.
    After Erased Region 48 (File system Image), PC no long detected it as Mass storage mode, but can be recovered by using Garmincure3.
