What if you update the firmware now to the current version? Perhaps you'll then be offered a later map.
Hi,
I purchased 2017 vehicle from a major dealer today (Vertu)
Sadly the satnav seemed out of date, on checking the software is from 2106, so it never received the 3year update inclusion.
Should I complain to the dealer?
previously (on my beemer) I downloaded and created a dvdrom to update, this was, of course before sd cards
However considering how much I spent, I would prefer to get it updated from the dealer or MB.
Welcome opinion please, regarding dealer obligation.
Thank you for reading this post

In the end I bent the dealers ear, 12.5k on a 2017 car, (Bristol Street Motors) with the maps being from 2016 I complained.
They have ordered a new one for me, so problem solved.
Apparently, you get updates for the first 3 years, which in this case did not happen.
