The point was fixing it up for a relative of mine who is a bus driver so he can use the thing in emergencies. Like I said iGo 8 it is, but if he doesn't like it, I can always sell him one of my navigators hehe
@Gjon
Sorry for being honest... Maybe you should buy a newer device?
Do you have a question, write PM

According to the manual's specs it should have 512 MB of internal storage.
Seems they have the RAM and ROM mixed up too, RAM should be 64 MB not ROM.

Also I think the crash log hasn't reported correctly, it shows Max memory as 129 MB which is wrong.
I believe this might have something to do with it:
FreeMemory: 37 MB, 492 KB, 0 B
TotalUseableMemory: 38 MB, 692 KB, 0 B
38 MB isn't normally enough to run Primo but it will run iGO8.
The bit about map not found in the crash log is normal when using non-legit software.
What are the contents of the sys.txt files in both the version of iGO8 that runs and Primo that doesn't?

Aahh ok, either the manual is wrong or there's another partition that might be hidden taking up all the space.
A device (can't remember which brand) I played with years ago I remember destroying because I formatted the extra hidden partition trying to free up space
Maybe it's one for the 'too hard' basket...
Nothing stands out that I can see in your sys.txt files.
Mine from the Primo that runs ok on 64 MB RAM, Windows CE-5 Navig8r G35 device, very similar.
I notice the max_memory is different to what I posted above, why I made it like that I have no idea, probably getting out of memory errors I'd imagine so I dropped it until they stopped.

It could be done, but the thing is it, again it won't run because of very little usable memory. Messing around and killing some of the processes to free up RAM just results in a crash. Earlier today I deleted some init string for some Navigon executable in the registry resulting in no boot, but one hard reset and it was back to normal. So all in all the efforts were in vain. Again thanks for your help.
Ok, last try, two steps
Just put same sys as iGO 8, second - add in it only lines for memory
And gps port/baud section
Video material and images can always be deleted without damage
Backup folder too, original software should be removed or at least some maps
Try this version:
