Hi.
I'm asking for advice. I can't set, and I don't know if it will be possible, the correct alternative directory for the iGO folder.
My device setup is:
iGO Nextgen: AvicSync 9.18.28.696728
inserted microSD card 64 GB with 2 folders: iGO_AvicSync + iGO_secondary_folder
smartphone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 12
Android OS: ver. 13 TKQ1
Of course, I also tried using the universal variable linked_root_list with multiple directories, but that didn't help either. Where can the error be? I also followed the directory structure of the various accesses through the Total Commander app on the smartphone, but I did not get to any of the paths listed in the linked_root_list universal variable.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
When trying to run iGO Nextgen AvicSync, I see an error:
Missing or incomplete folder:
/sdcard/iGO
Could it be because the .apk application after installation cannot access my inserted SD-card in the smartphone and cannot find the sys.txt file ? Or do I have to move everything to the internal flash ?
However, there is no path from root OS directly to "/sdcard" on it (according to Total Commander it doesn't exist).
Thanks.
Hi.
Thanks for the answers.
I haven't tried moving it to the internal flash memory yet, because I don't think it will work. Is it worth trying? :-/
The same iGO Nextgen worked properly on my old Huawei P8 Lite smartphone (Android 6 or 7 if I'm not mistaken). And "iGO_Avic" and "iGO_second...." folders were also used there, referencing via "/mnt/ext_sdcard" (Huawei P8 / Android 6).
However, there is no such symbolic link in the new smartphone (checked via Total Commander in the smartphone). None of these symbolic-links or other links are there. There is only one, but it is not functional: "(root)/mnt/sdcard". If I tap on this sym-link in Total Commander, nothing happens.
You're doing everything wrong - if the path: "(root)/mnt/sdcard" is correct, why do you use a completely different path: "android_secondary_root_path="/storage/F77B-E219/iGO_secondary_folder" in sys.txt?
And in which manual did you read that you can use "iGO_Avic" from external memory?

It will work only this way
Folder iGO_Avic in /storage/emulated/0
Hi. Thanks for the answer. So just from the internal flash memory ? Because this "/storage/emulated/0" is basically the internal flash memory (internal flash disk). I would prefer it to be on a microSD card :-). Although the truth is that today microSD cards are no longer used (only for shooting long videos).
You read it wrong...
1. the directory worked in the old device, specifically this one:
/mnt/ext_sdcard
but it doesn't work in the new one (and this link doesn't exist there either)
2. unfortunately it doesn't work in the new device even though there is this link:
/mnt/sdcard
3. nowhere did I cross the secondary directory and its path... everywhere the correct main folder + the correct subdirectory is also indicated for the secondary directory (which is intended for "iGO contents")
OK guys... since there really is no SD-card symbolic link in my Android 13 + Redmi Note 12, and I don't know why, so finally moving "iGO_Avic" and also "iGO_secondary_folder" from SD-card to internal flash, helped. Of course, I had to set "/storage/emulated/0" in the "sys.txt" file. Thanks for help !!!
But now I have a new problem... iGO starts up and after about 5 seconds it immediately shuts down - no error message on the screen :-). But that could probably also be caused by some plugins / addons ?

No harm please. I am an IT specialist with 35 years of experience (I do not focus on smartphones). I don't need to look for anything in the discussion. I'll try to fix everything myself first. And if I can't do it myself, I look for different topics and discussions via Google. If I can't find anything, I'll try focused, special discussion forums, where there are always experienced service technicians and users - for the given issue / question.
My current problem is that iGO only runs for a random amount of time - usually 5-10 seconds at a time. After that, unfortunately, the iGO application itself closes automatically. Once iGO even lasted 5 minutes running. I really don't know what could be causing this. I don't want to work for 3 days. I thought someone would give a direct answer to at least that. Thanks anyway, for all the effort to help.
Looks like I'll have to google again .
