Garmin Drivesmart 60LMT

Hi, Just got a Drivesmart 60LMT and have a problem. The first thing that I did was update the maps. It asked for an SD card which I installed (a 32GB). When I checked the installed maps the only one listed was CN North America NT 2024.10 US & Canada -East and CN Noth America NT 2024.10 Foursquare. According to Garmin's site it should have detailed maps of North America. It can't find my home address which is in Idaho or anything in the Western US. It's showing 185MB free of 7.02GB of internal storage free and 24.4GB free of 29.7GB on the SD card. If I uncheck the CN North America NT 2024.10 US & Canada East it says no map data. So what is going on? Thanks, Jim

Probably you have just a East part of NA - take a look over image scyrXD4

So if try to select a destination outside - you will get an error.

SO - add missing data and drive with pleasure.

That's the problem. It doesn't give me the option of changing the maps in Garmin Express like I could with my Nuvi 65LMT. I was able to install the lower US on it. Jim

As it looks like you have a second hand Garmin Drivesmart 60LMT.
Could this one originally been bought with this setup?

Seeing that Garmin Express does not give you the option to install the full map.
Then you will have to take the maps you need from the Nuvi 65LMT.
But you will need to patch them to work on the Garmin Drivesmart 60LMT.

You will not find tools to do that here you will have to find them on other sites.

So this is not the first time you are talking about the full version when you have a Garmin with the lower states only.

I picked up at an auction so I suspect you are right. I have a Nuvi 65 that had the lower 48 installed and I was able to install Western US and Canada on the SD card and it shows up. I tried that with the Drivesmart and no it didn't work. Contacted Garmin and they said format the SD card did that and now it won't even install original East coast and Canada maps.

This is the same issue as you previously had [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], N. America map update for a DS60 requires 7.81GB without any software updates and your device has 8GB internal storage (V4 M4v3 8GB CA So6 A6 CTP BT RDS ) If Garmin can't help you use the Clone method then rearrange the files as below.
