Garmin GPSMap 62s Upgrade - Performance Experience?
Hi,
I'm planning some hikes this year in the Tirol. I've got a very old GPSMap62s with Austria Topo maps on, works pretty well but I find it a bit slow on scrolling around. This performance was a feature since day 1 of owning it.
Are the later Garmin GPSMap devices faster? Interested in experience of the 65 or 66 series..

The 66SR is a very good GPS unit.
I spend time over here when it comes to Handheld GPS units
Lots of good info there......

Thanks both for the feedback and also that link. I did think the current generation devices would be a step on from my >10 year old device. Great job from Garmin, will look out for a deal on an 66SR. Should be a nice match for my InReach Mini!
