Default Language files for Nuvi 1200

    Hi people!

I have Nuvi 1200 MTK version, HW id: 1106, sw: 6.30
Text folder is empty, and I need files for additional languages (German, Croatian, Serbian..)

I've try to copy files from my Nuvi 2460, but with this I've managed only to brick device... yup
OK, device is restored with cured firmware, added files are deleted, and installed full software again.
Device now work, but I still need language files, and don't wont to do more experiment and brick unit again.

So, anybody have backup of this model, to share text and keyboard files?

    Thanx!

PS. Garmin express and WebUpdater don't offer any language files to update

Use this link from Garmin and download the voices you need.

You can not use the newer voices that is why you had problems.

If that does not help then maybe some on still has an old Garmin Nuvi and can upload the files here.

Default Problem with language Nüvi 1200

Hi everybody, I'm new to this forum. I'm amazed by the wealth of info that is available here!

I'm trying to revive my Nüvi 1200 (by using OpenStreetMaps).

I've made a stupid mistake while trying to free up some space... I also deleted the language files in "Text". Of course I did not backup that folder

Now I only have American English as a language choice.

Spoken languages and keyboard are available and can be changed.

    Things I've tried:

Copying the language files from another device (I found online, not exactly the same device).
Wipe user files (pressing bottom right core while powering on)
Reinstall software 6.30 with WebUpdater (but only voice files are available on the next step)
Reinstall languages with Garmin Express. The languages that I choose there don't show up on the device. When I try again they no longer are lister in Garmin Express?
    Deleting GarminDevice.xml

JaVaWa device manager doesn't detect any language files.

Links in post #5 by Firefox58 - the file is no longer available
(I'm not sure about the forum rules and bumping up a year old thread?)

Did i screw things up completely?

    Thanks!

Just for users reference these keyboard and text files are for and Nuvi version 1xxx series.
The link I quoted was from a user that had a 14xx series.

They are the same files for the Nuvi series:

    11xx
    12xx
    13xx
    14xx

Could be others but I do not have those Nuvi's
