Hi.
At first launch of NextGen I have no online services, traffic button shows a X also no weather.
I close iGO and launch again , it's working and keeps fine the rest of the day.
This happens only when the car is parked for one night or longer.
Wifi is fine before launching iGO, checked with the browser.
Have this with my Joying unit but also with a Pumpkin, same installation.
Anyone else has this ?
First I thought it has to do with my older Joying unit but now I installed the same packet also on the brand new Pumpkin ( Android 9 ) : same problem..
I thought maybe it has to do with the sys.txt or something.
Only thing I have to do is close and launch directly again and it keeps working fine for the rest of the day.
Maybe something to do with the unit going into deep sleep ?
But strange that no one else has this ?
Try it on some android tablet and it will be immediately clear to you
Permits, power management, etc...
This also happens to me in a few moments. I restart and everything goes back to normal.
I don't consider it a big problem. Perhaps a momentary bottleneck in the connection to the service's server.
No, agree, not a big problem but it happens every new day.
Perhaps I had a bit too much lisences so I deleted some, there are now only 3 left in the folder ( ecl the device file, a new one is made every restart if deleted ) and everything works, no red ones in settings > about > content
I will try tomorrow to see what happens.
iGO Nextgen (here NG_Pal) generally takes what feels like an eternity before data (onlineTrafic / weather) is synchronized.
With weather, there is initially no availability immediately after the start (server cannot be reached), but everything is perfect after another call

Installed the same on 10 inch tablet ( Android 10 ) , same problem. Second launch works fine.
@rondoan
Yes, I think that's the problem. No idea why the second launch immediately after the first time takes not more than a second. to connect to weather and traffic servers.
I got the idea Nexgen is doing something else during the first launch that prevents connecting to the servers.
There should be a short delay before server connection, but no idea how.
Deleting the licenses did not help also nor deleting some ux I do not use.
Strange.

The same phenomenon occurs in my area as well. Both with LUNA and with PAL/PONGO. Sometimes the TMC rises properly immediately at the first opening and sometimes a second closing and opening is required. You become very quickly to accustom to this.
For me, sometimes the connection is almost immediate and sometimes it takes about twenty seconds for both Israel and Luna despite being set in both to:
[tmc-http]
profile_name=nng-igo-tmc-igoworld
on Israel it gives me 84 events and on Luna 96......
Have you tried changing the server settings?
;profile_name=nng-igo-tmc-jci
;profile_name=nng-igo-tmc-iphone
;profile_name=nng-igo-tmc-beckerfull
The number of events changes but the connection time may also change for you.
P.S.
In LUNA they are included inside the superscripts "" while in Israel they are not.
