Do I have to copy all JVC files under : X:\Garmin\JVC
if the other maps are located in : X:\Map\ For instance :
    X:\Garmin\gmapsupp.IMG
    X:\map\USA.IMG
    Or it doesn't matter if I copy them in : X:\Map\XXX.jvc & X:\Map\YYY.jvc

My Garmin device is Nüvi 1390T
    thanks

Look at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] in here. Placement x:\Map\*.jcv won't work for either card or unit internal memory. Lots of good stuff in the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] ; [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] etc, etc.

I've been reading the threads and trying to replace my original internal North America NT 2010 with a North America NT 2016 .img file, but it keeps stating not enough disc space. I'm in the .system folder, removed the original .img folder, but still won't let me install new map .img. I have a Nuvi 1350. It states file is 176gb and only 150gb is free. What am I missing? I'm sure it's something simple. TIA!

    176 GB ?????
May be 1.76? Check in your Nuvi properties (right click on Nuvi drive on pc) how much free space you have in it.
    Something like this:

You have to navigate to get to the good.

You are correct. I missing placing the "." Any clue why I cannot replace or add multiple maps internally? Is the drive really that small?

You can add a cheap 4GB sd and add more maps No other real effective solution, but read this:

I have plenty of 8GB sd that I use for when I travel. Was hoping to replace internal map. Thanks for the link and the rapid reply!

You can create a map with Mapinstall that fits your internal memory, or put a part in internal and the other part in the sd
