Okay thanks appreciatte the replies, you say to tweak the cameras under the Tt services menu, that's what I am saying on this version off tomtom there is no menu to actually do this simply turn on and turn off. Have used a tomtom one v3 satnav for years so know how they work but as I say they have certainly not made any improvements on this particular model !

May try the pocketgps speed cams sometime just to see how I get on with them .

    Thanks guys.

What navcore are you using? Official 8.010 = Main menu 3 of 3/TT services/TT safety cams/change warning preferences

Okay thanks shows version 9.510 and again no extra menus within TT services only to switch on and off cameras, I know exactly the menu you are talking about as got two other earlier TT one units and they both have this option obviously done away with on this version ?!

On that particular "SE version" yes, apparently but maybe (after a full windows back) try an alternative as there are a few around here.
I'm assuming you want/need/use a non-standard navcore because you want to run the fully featured maps; not "just cos it's a newer version"?

okay thanks again for your continued help, no happy with the navcore that's on it and have the latest uk map installed and all working fine that is apart from these speed cams ?! funny enough use the same cams from this very site and updated all three of my tt units earlier today and it would seem even my old tt one v3 does not want to pick up anything other than gatso cams even thou I know for a fact that there are average speed cams etc etc all on my route that show up on my android phone tt app ?

the cams on my other unit are set up with the warning distances for each cam type etc but nothing sounding now ? been using these units for years and years now so know exactly how they work but for some reason the tt files from here don't seem to work on any off my units now ??

any ideas what could be wrong ? got them installed within the uk map folder, use fact active on them and that leaves three related files for the cams within the uk map folder, they show up on my tt one when you go into tt services ie. you can set the individual cam types warning sounds etc but as I say just won't pick up anything other than the gatso cams ?

Okay seems they are only showing up when I have set a route on my tomtom, how do I set it so that they will show up without me setting a route on every journey ? seem to remember on the older TT units you could add what was known as a silent voice for this very problem, have added the voice and set it but still not getting the cams showing up unless I have a pre set route.. any ideas ?

Hi mate just a quick word off thanks for your help kinda thought that I may have heard back from other early tt unit users regards the speed cam warnings not i showing on the unit unless a pre set route was set. From memory the only time it worked when not en route was when I had the PGPSW speed cam files on the unit, these as you probably know are part off the poi list and so can show up / sound by setting the silent voice selection.

Looks as if with the official tt speed cams you have to set a route first. Anyone else advise ?
