If I remember correct one of the 9.16x NC should work with TMC on a XL, but im not 100% sure, you have to check if interested.
Thanks, might try your 9.401. If it turns out a nono I'll stick with your 9.430 and traffic prog on car radio.
No RDS/TMC in 9.401.

Reloaded 9.430, didn't change to x40 (24) mode and got RDS/TMC sidebar and connection. Very slow redrawing map (over 100 yards behind actual location. In x40 it's on the button. I'll forget about RDS/TMC. May try 9.160, does it have 'Turn off voice guidance'?
surpried not have a cooment re RDS/TMC active in "self" mode

Just done "Navigate to" address and number in Swindon (UK). Route calculated was to a town near Frankfurt, DE.
Go910, 9.430.890926.1 (from 9.430 for GO models, page 1, post #3), b/l 5.5229, map W&CE 885-4009. "navigate to point on map" worked. What is so odd about Swindon?
As I expected; not a navcore problem. Loaded and switched to 2GB Europe 885-4008 and Swindon is where it really is, not near Frankfurt and I can navigate to an address or post code.
Post copied to the "Maps" forum.

Ah, it gets worse. Swindon is not alone. Bath, Sandhurst, Sheffield and Woking show German-sounding street names - existing streets are "not found". Post codes, point-on-map and POIs do work. As does Europe 885-9004.
Scanned GO with MS security essentials and Malwarebytes - all clear. Currently d/ling a another W&CE.
