1. I click on the 9.430 for XL,ONE and all other models link in your 3rd comment
2. a linksave page appears, I enter the Captcha
3. I can see these
Foldersize: Files: Hoster: Folderstatus:
<1.00KB 1 filefactory.com (red cube)
There's a green download CCF and blueish download DLC button. I downloaded Cryptload1.1.8, I opened these files in Cryptload1.1.8 and it says Server is currently down.
Below are:
Status Size Filename (Host) Download
(red cube) <1.00KB unbekannt/unknown [ filefactory.com ] (there's an orange colour V shaped sign which you can click on then it says: Sorry, the server hosting the file you are requesting is currently down for maintenance. Please check back soon.
(green cube) <1.00KB Files: 1 Download all Parts Hoster: filefactory.com Highspeed Download! (this is grey, nothing to open)
I hope it's clear enough. How can I download it?

Hi
Hopefully this isn't too dumb a question, but here goes.
I have two questions really; 1) does the RDS-TMC work with this NC, and 2) Does this update the bootloader as well (or work without updating)?
I've been tempted for a while to try a newer NC but don't want to lose the ability to go back to my current working configuration if I wanted to for whatever reason.
I have a One (DeviceVersionHW=ONE (v8), BootLoaderVersion=55011,ApplicationVersion=8010ApplicationVersion=9369) currently on official NC 8.010
and latest map UK+NI 890.4234 which works fine (thank you ).
I use the RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver which also works fine with my current set up.
I have made a full back up with windows explorer.
Any advice is greatly appreciated, thank you.
TMC works with every NC now that we know what files are required, however on some NC's the old V13 receiver (and older) are not fully working anymore.
Affects not all devices and changing the NC often works fine.
You'd have to update your bootloader for SDHC support but for the NC you should be fine.
You don't go back - you make a backup using Windows Explorer (NOT TT Home!), that's called a backup
If anything does not work out you delete all files and copy your backup files on the device, all back to the old.

I did mention that I had made a full back up to do precisely that, What I was worried about was the bootloader getting updated as I thought that you couldn't downgrade that.
My device has no sd slot so I wouldn't intentionally upgrade the bootloader for that function.
So am I right to think the only way I would update the bootloader unintentionally would be updating through TomTom Home? ( which shouldn't happen as it doesn't offer me a new NC above what I already have)
I just didn't know if updating the navcore also updated the bootloader using the method in this thread, which is what I wanted to understand before proceeding. Can you just put me straight on that?
Many thanks for your help
Home includes a bootloader for every NC that is for your device (and if needed).
If you use a NC from a forum or patch a CAB yourself a newer BL could be installed if not carefull.
All BL up to 5.5128 are considered to be safe for any TT as we never got any negative feedback in that regards.
And in case it becomes necessary the BL can be downgraded.
So you have nothing to loose with a working backup
