Hi Guys,
Probably going to be a stupid question but I have a 4S00.007 board which has an internal memory chip but the board is broken... Can I remove the memory chip and solder it to a 4S00.006 board which is working?
Tom Tom ONE XL models
Thank you, but no, this Tom Tom already has a SD card slot, I was wanting to add a memory chip, like in the next model up, the 4S00.007
Eh, why, when you have the capacity to run up to 32GB of memory without using a soldering iron?
There is NO advantage to playing silly buggers with old/broken chips/boards but, it's always you choice; just I don't know of anyone who would condone or support your (actually slightly bizarre/crazy) idea.

Sadly, not the case, the Tom Tom I have doesn't support SDHC (high capacity) cards so can't hold more than 2GB and I want to turn this model in to a Truck Nav.
Also, I'm quiet handy with a soldering iron.
Also, I have seen worse ideas.
Updating the bootloader on the old tom tom original memory card then copying the contents to a SDHC card allows the tom tom to read the HC memory card so no soldering needed
Cheers pal.
Any idea why my Tom Tom will boot with trucks maps installed along side the default map, navcore is trucks core and also the bootloader is up to date, it seems to use the trucks map fine until I reboot, then it goes on an endless reboot cycle?
Edit: Just as I pressed post it had booted after maybe 10 reboots... any idea why it cycles like that?

I think it's the 9.701 from downunder... haven't seen clearflash.exe before though?
