    Powered by the weekly-updated database, your sat-nav knows the locations of:

    * Fixed cameras
    * Average speed cameras
    * Variable cameras
    * roadwork sites
    * Red light speed cameras Mobile cameras

    Expert Sources

    Safety camera alerts are driven by content from a range of expert sources, not just user feedback. Before they are included in the database, each location is physically inspected to confirm camera type, direction, average speed and distance covered.

    Content sources include

    * Official agency data
    * Professional survey
    * GPS digital camera, Wi-Fi and expert field survey-gathered data
    * Verified user feedback

    Latest Data

    The SCDB database is continually reviewed to keep track of ever-changing camera locations. A dedicated team checks for new, removed and amended camera sites and refreshes this content every day. Once verified, this information is live within 48 hours.

    Accurate and Reliable Alerts

    Garmin sat-navs use smart GPS software to compare your route against a preloaded log of camera locations. Each camera and zone is individually verified and mapped using a patented 'corridor' technique of camera validation – confirming the speed setting and direction of camera to bring only relevant alerts to your journey, when you need them and avoid irritating false alarms:

    * Directional camera alerts
    * Camera-specific alerts such as average speed and mobile zones
    * Alerts relevant to journey
    * Overspeed alerts
    * Alerts tailored to road layout and navigation experience

    Hi, may i ask between Garmin SCDB.info World | v30.01.2013 | Bi-weekly update and SCDB.info 2013 Jan 30 for countries USA 5213 POIS. All i need is just one of those? I know with the Garmin SCDB.info World i can have it announce instead of beep sound, will the SCDB.info by county make a beep or announce? if not can i make it announce?

    Do i use POILoader for installing SCDB.info by county? thx

    My resulting password combination of the 256-bit Rijndael/AES secret key, the unknowable (therefore secret) present value of the 128-bit monotonically incrementing counter, and the 128-bit secret Initialization Vector (IV) is 512-bits of secret data providing extremely high security for the generation of this perfect password. No one is going to figure out the password except by getting it here.

    No difference between SCDB USA and SCDBWORLD: only filtering

    In the archive of countries, there is also a precompiled GPI as manifest (see old 3rd) of the individual country
    This file GPI, (pretty for nuvi) will use the default beeps nuvi

    You can add a custom alert inserting a WAV file with the same name of the GPX and BMP file to the folder you're going to develop with the Poiloader (mode Fast,no manual)

    If you want them completely silent, you associate a silent WAV files (with Poiloader,ok).... if you no have this file, I am attaching later/tonight

    Ex: Camera.gpx;Camera.bmp;Camera.wav (silent or custom sound)
    Camera.gpx;Camera.bmp (default sounds of device)

    I don't blame you one bit for doing things like this Mate. I'm just relieved that you're still posting SCDB. As far as I'm concerned, copying a link without getting permission and/or giving credit is akin to plagiarism, whether it's a copy to another forum or within the same one. I think with widely available minor stuff it's certainly alright to just give credit to the original source or at least the last known source, and maybe not even do it at all. But with 'unique' posts the original source should have his/her permission sought firstly, and if that is obtained then credit and thanks be given appropriately. I know the modern 'group thinking' is coming around to the idea that 'if it's out there on the internet, it's fair game' but i quite definitely cling to old-fashioned manners here and believe in 'give credit when credit is due' (some might say it's more like 'honour amoungst thieves').
    Maybe i'm getting a bit teetery on my virtual moral soapbox here considering the venue and i'm fully prepared to be bashed up verbally.
    If that happens, i'll move this and any further comments into a new thread so bring it on .....
    'Thanking Posts' are banned. To thank someone, and/or to see hidden links and content, use the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] button below left of the helpful post then refresh your browser [F5 key]. 'Thanking Posts' are banned.
    Please don't spam. Posts serving no purpose other than to thank or to ask about hidden links are trashed or deleted, it's GPSPower's policy. Please don't spam.
    [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] should make their first post as a new Intro Thread in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

    Hi Roger,

    Could you also make one version for whole Europe? (Baltic, Benelux, France, Germany, Iberia, Italy, Slovenia, Switzerland, UK&Ireland together)
    I'm driving every month from UK to Bulgaria, would be good to have just one file!
