My Nuvi 1410 operates normally as a navigation aid, but will not go into mass storage mode so that I can't update maps etc. I've carried out the CURE procedure using input file nuvi13xxand14xxseries_GCDFile__630.gcd and all is well until I use WebUpdater where I get a message saying The Update File is Corrupted so I can't go any further.
There is no SD Card fitted. Can anyone help with this problem?
I have two different cables and tried both with three different computers running Windows XP SP3, Windows 7 and Windows 10 respectively. Unfortunately the problem still exists. The nuvi 1410 does occasionally go into mass storage mode for about 5 seconds then reverts to Loading Maps.
I have also a nuvi 1310 that goes into mass storage mode normally with any of the above combinations.
Is there anything else I can try to enable access to the file system?
If it is so there are no users that can help you now!
How to unbrick Garmin that was "bricked" by flashing the wrong firmware?
For example, I got BMW Motorad Navigator IV flashed with Zumo 660 FW.
Update from SD with original .GCD is not possible...

If you flashed full latest zumo firmware V5,10 it shouldn't have bricked the Motorrad Navigator IV because they are the same hardware (HWID 0924) and actually use the same firmware. Latest issued by Garmin for the Motorrad is V3.40 I think, but it's identical to the zumo V3.40 anyway and the later version should not have bricked it. What do you mean by 'bricked' and what are the symptoms? Read: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
System Software Missing...
That message means that the firmware contained in region 14 (fw_all.bin) is either not appropriated for the device, corrupt or missing entirely. The device should be defaulted to preboot mode with that message on the screen so use Updater.exe to re-flash the firmware as an RGN file.
So it's mortared, but not bricked? Odd that a firmware for similar HWID gives that message.
Do not PM me with questions. That's what a forum is for.
