I know from previous discussions that you're using a 1300 with us/eu firmware in Singapore. Is that screenshot from a 1350 sg/my? Because i think the us/eu 1350's would have the same screen as your 1300. As you know your 1300 main map screen doesn't have that, but if you tap on the map, it will go to another map screen and the zoom indicator is in the lower RH corner.
BTW...your post probably should have been made in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] so it may get moved, or not, who knows?
As you know, his fw is different to yours and has different functions embedded in in, not the least of which is the ability to decrypt the asian JCV files which will crash & reboot the us/eu units. The zoom numbers feature on the main nav map screen pic that you attached is also enabled by his sg/my fw, as is the arrow above the zoom figures, which is a north point as you probably know, useful when the map is set to '3D' in sg/my units. You can use those features with your 1300, but not with the primary nav map in 3D. You must set the map to 'Track Up" which displays in 2D. The zoom figures will then appear above the return arrow as in the 1350 sg/my, but the north point arrow will be slightly more to the right and solid white, not in outline as shown by sg/my on 3d. The zoom figures will also appear in 'North Up' but of course not the pointer which would be redundant anyway. Maybe you would prefer to forego those minor features and have 3D displayed. Anyway, i certainly would.
Also as you know very well, cross-flashing with asian fw is not without risk. If you really want these features that the sg/my units have, that is the only way to enable them as far as i know. Unwise to try it with a new unit under warranty, i think.
Jap Firmware also has it.
Hi dasilvarsa,
You would know , having gone through the wringer to enable routes etc on your 1300 using jap 1480 fw: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. I suppose other asian fw's have 'it' too, taiwan, china, phillipines maybe. Does the jpn fw let your 1300 show jcv for sg/my & phillipine maps without reboot error? Those guys, lolypop000, aekhong, kanopus et al are bl**dy geniuses aren't they? I don't think you're much of a slouch in that department either, maybe have "Navigation Software Expert" behind your nick soon too? You're a better man than i am GungaDin, i wouldn't have had the goanies to try what you did as "1st cab off the rank".... you should get together with those others and write a proper tut on what you did, who knows, even i might try it with a proper tut to guide my shaking hands.

I've only tried South Africa and Europe JCV, Both work fine in JPN 360, no Reboot.
The only thing that's a bit of a bother is that JPN has no Pedestrian Mode.
Otherwise it's more stable than even 580 US.
So others with similar type jcv file would also be ok eg AU/NZ, NTH & STH AMER, etc would be ok. But would you have a chance to try the SG/MY or PHIL type CNNT's with the encrypted jcv files to see what happens. What about JPN, TN, CHINA jcv's, what type are they? Have you tried them?
