Remove locale.xml and run webupdater.
Try also clear non vol.
Hi all! does anyone have an idea how to fix the following problem - I've upgraded my 3790T (bought in europe) to basically all versions, tried the cure flash and restoring the filesystem - but no matter what I do, every time I try and launch it with a original firmware, it says "select a locale" and then there's nothing to chose from. I have tried putting the locales.xml in .System/ and I still have the same issue. Any ideas?
Remove locale.xml and run webupdater.
Try also clear non vol.
If it doesnt work try to clear Non Vol ,flash an old firmware, clear Non Vol and then run updater and update it.
You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
Have you ever used it for real? I mean driving in a car, this is what makes your choice of locale permanent.
Other possibility is that you lost your model number, this happens sometimes when flashing 3700. Check in system info if you have there line with text "Model: 3790", if it is "Model: 37xx" than your nuvi has damaged nonvolatile memory.
By the way issued new locales.
For France locale choice was changed order of input address. Now will be NUMBER before STREET

Hey, thanks for all of your answers! I truly appreciate them!
in the about screen it says nüvi 3790 still, the device won't find any satellites though, I left it in by the window for hours without success.
I restored my backup and flashed with 2.5, still the same issue. "Please select locale" - driving me nuts!
