Map coverage (a little outdated, has not been updated by Garmin for newer versions)
Links from Garmin serverCode:Please Login or Register to see the links
Map, JCV, SID & Sqlite (Only HWM) ~ 862 MB
Probably Map, JCV ~ 734 MBCode:Please Login or Register to see the links
Probably only map ~ 721 MBCode:Please Login or Register to see the links
Probably same as Link 1, Map, JCV, SID, (NO SQLite) ~ 862 MBCode:Please Login or Register to see the links
The link content other than the first are my assumptions based on file sizes.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
Do not run the executable archive after downloading, instead use 7zip/Winrar/Winzip etc to open the archive and extract the contents. The required files will be found in the MapData folder. Use gimgunlock [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] to unlock the map
Haven't been able to get the link where some map content (other than only Highway mode) is moved to sqlite, this makes the main map smaller and it works much better on Android and IOS. Edit: Smaller map and accompanying files in post #8 below [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

I have a India new nuvi 50LM with India and the Singapore/Malaysia maps factory installed. In Sept 2013, using theI was able to download the latest India map both into the nuvi and into BaseCamp. However I'm now unable to download the latest India map from the site or by using Garmin Map Updater or Express. I've tried on both Windows XP and 8.1 computers, both with latest USB Drivers and Garmin Communicator in Firefox. The error reads "Plugin Required". When OK is clicked > "Plugin Required" appears again along with a check box for "Prevent this page from creating additional dialogues".Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
I know Communicator is working as the myGarmin site recognises the nuvi correctly. The nuvi has the latest firmware.
The MalSing map was able to be easily updated as that uses a different method - one simply enters the nuvi serial number and the nuvi map is provided. Only the image though, not the install into BaseCamp. The image had to go an a microSD card as the internal nuvi memory is too small - even with surplus Voices and Text removed.
Any assistance with getting the India map to install into BaseCamp would be most appreciated.
it's asite problem probably, ask their support. Try also another browser and stop your antivirus when trying to get the updates.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links

Thank you, I changed to Chrome and paused the Kapersky anti virus and the India map update site then proceeded properly. The map is now in the nuvi 50LM. I then tried again with Firefox and Kapersky switched back on and got the previous error. Tried with Chrome with Kapersky on and it worked OK. So the fix in my case was just a change of browser to Chrome. It's probably a setup thing within my own Firefox rather than a failing of Firefox itself.
Initially the India installer reported there was not enough space in the nuvi so had to delete more unnecessary language files (Help, Voice, Text, Keyboards) and ensure the GPX > Archive was empty. It then installed the map 1.30GB (1,398,931,456 bytes) OK. There is only 25MB of free space now.
The India map installer did not appear to recognise the 8GB microSD card in the nuvi which has only the MalSing map (55.6MB) on it. Even with that card map deleted (and still in the nuvi) it did not offer to use the card.
In anticipation of not being able to fit a future updated map I then used JaVaWa Device Manager to create a virtual nuvi on a microSD 16GB card in the PC. The India installer then found that OK and installed the new map to that as well. When it gets to the stage of having to use this method I'll have to move the gmapprom file from the computer card to a nuvi card, unlocking if necessary. Thanks again.
Garmin has updated the India HUD app and the smaller map with some content moved to sqlite can be found in the ipa.
Download using itunes, one doesn't need to have an actual device to create an Apple id without credit card info and download the app. Use 7zip/Winzip/winar etc to extract the map files from the ipa, you'll find them in the Payload\garmin-nav.app\storage-india\.System folderCode:Please Login or Register to see the links
The main map is less than 1gb, so it can also be used without the accompanying files in some of the older garmin devices.
