Download links for v2.06 Release date: 20 Juni 2011
Hi, Thanks for the upload and I've got some questions regarding the download. Do I have to download all the links from the Garmin row? Or just anyone one of them will do?
What's the difference between this version and the Garmin City Navigator Indonesia 2010.20 version?
depends on which product you use. Garmin map only for garmin products, navitel for navitel products, and so on.
This one produced by a group of gps enthusiast, while the 2010.20 produced by Garmin company.
difference? hm...... i think the navigasi.net map is more complete.
Navigasi.net has got 209 MB, Garmin 2012.10 is only 100 MB. Navigasi covers most parts of Indonesia, Garmin only Jawa and Bali and the main roads of Sumatra. Navigasi shows much more details, for example different stations of a hospital in Solo or the buildings of the University, at Garmin there are a lot of islands without any coverage. Navigasi is up-to-date because there is an update every 2 month, posted by people who really live in Indonesia. POI like restaurants, hotels enter the map through recommendation of the users and not through payment. Garmin only updates 2-3 times yearly. Navigasi is free but even if it would ask for the double price as Garmin it would be the much better choice.
A glitch i think. The PC install version is identified correctly as V2.52 but as you found the Image compiled from the same exe identifies incorrectly in BaseCamp when placed on a card named as gmapsupp.img. BC sees it as V2.23, but that's not right because the GMAPTool info for the same image shows it as V2.52 and it's 9MB larger than even V2.47 the previous version:
The image compiled by MapInstall from the PC Version is correct though, it's only the one from the exe which is wrong:
