Thanks catymag. I'd been looking for this for quite some time now. You rock catymag. I'll try the maps tomorrow. Is there a possibilty we can get MMIv6 for Windows mobile(Mireo Edition) as well?
Thanks,
Anil

Thanks catymag for the maps! Can you please help me with following:
1) Are these the latest MMI maps which also have door number search option?
2) I downloaded garmin software for my nokia 5800 almost a year back. So, should i also update my garmin software, if so which is the latest stable version for nokia 5800?
3) Which installation method I should follow given that I have old garmin and mapmyindia maps installed on my unhacked nokia 5800xm
Thanks again...

If you're wanting NDrive, which i think only use *.map format map files, go over to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and have a look at these threads: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and others there too.
However, you've posted in the Garmin MapMyIndia thread and that is possibly why you haven't had a reply previously. If you as you said, you want to use Garmin (*.img format) maps, you will need a Garmin app such as [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] or [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. A joint tutorial for both Symbian and WindowsMobile setup is here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
This worked like a charm on my HTC HD2 but not on Nokia5800 because of the big file size, it takes ages to load the file when map is moving. This is mainly due to the read of the file with a slow processing chip on the phone.
Honestly I don't know if I can break the file down to individual Indian State to reduce the original file size and have the same result, any recommendation to this?
Thank you...oops I am not suppose to say that here!! ;-)

Reason: correction being made
I dont think it depends on the size of the map, but on the available ram on your phone.
Try also to put in your phone a small basemap not a DEM one.
MXT hasnt been updated since a lot of time, maps are new and contain new features an old Nokia hardly handles.
I wanted to know how do I delete old maps, I mean replace the existing ones with these new ones, I have in my Garmin currently the US maps ~ 1.8GB and India MMI V4 maps. I want to replace only the MMI V4 with MMI V6. Any pointers much appreciated.
