Go to thread CN NTU 2016.10 and download map and add it on your device and will work with no problem.
Can anyone please tell me how to update my old Nuvi 3790T with the latest maps - the one I have are very outdated now!
I've seen the beginners thread below and I can try to follow it but none of the models listed seem to be mine. Is my 3790 too old to be updated anymore?
Many thanks
H

Look for City Navigator Europe (CNEU NTU) in Index I linked above (if you want Europe)
You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
Aside from the main map, there are so many other files for different search types and split screen etc. Do I download them all?
G'day homey
Some kindly meant advice Mate: Start actually reading the suggested threads, that's why the links were given to you. It'll save time [yours and ours] and you'll learn how to do it yourself for next update time. From the thread linked by catymag above:
Spend some little time browsing the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [use Ctrl + F keys on kb to search for key words on the page] and it'll open up a mine of info for you. Then if you still have doubts or questions post in the relevant existing threads after reading them.A doubt where to copy additional files, or which files your device uses ?

Thanks Neil, I did start reading the suggested threads but it's really confusing when you're not familiar with any of the procedures and terrified of breaking the thing at every step. I think my real worry (and probably every newbie's worry) is that what you'll wind up with will be actually less than what you have now!
Still, I will keep reading and keep trying - I'm fed up with driving over fields a roundabouts that have suddenly appeared!
Is there some sort of 'backup everything' you can do so that if things go wrong, you can just restore everything as it was and start again?
