I will try to be short. I bought a 2011 Dodge Journey with UConnect 8.5N RB5 which has Garmin Nav. The GPS has NEVER come up with anything other than "Loading Maps". That's all nothing else comes up even after half an hour of loading, which normally should come up with Route, address etc. So my Garmin GPS never loads any screens at all. I know it has GPS, I have ran my VIN & it says it does & it has satellite radio too which works. I have contacted 2 dealerships & of course they say they have NEVER seen this at all but I can bring it in they will work on it for a cost, since it is out of warranty on the radio.
So I have literally searched the web for hours on hours & saw your post on GPS subjects & it seems you know what you are talking about.
So any help will be appreciated.

You have to navigate to get to the good.
Galaxy S5 Kitkat 4.4.2 / Nuvi1200->1250 / Nuvi3790T->34xx / Nuvi 2200 / Nuvi 66 / Oregon 600
Sorry not familiar with CTP term, can you help me with that please
Still looking for help I have read the file you wanted me to read thread you wanted me to. My main issue is that I can not get into the "NAV" pull down window to see anything , it just stays in "GARMIN" & never loads anything. I have researched this & can not find out why it is happening. I think it needs to be flashed. I got a updated Flash for the radio & it still hasnt changed my NAV window at all still stuck saying loading maps & nothing
Probably you have faulty map or faulty addition file in gps. Try cleaning out any old files by installing a new gmapprom.img
You can try to update files by USB stick and see if it works.
Detailed instructions here:
You can find all the needed files in Maps section:Code:Please Login or Register to see the links

Okay bottom line is I went to
& follwed what it said to do no luck need FID & 10 digit codes.Code:Please Login or Register to see the links
Then went to the other links you noted:
Garmin Maps Index Europe Asia Africa Americas Middle East Australia&Oceania Bluechart (not knowing which maps to download I downloaded multiple ones including NM2005, ran it & it put BaseCamp on PC, asked for unlockcodes, don't have any due can not get FID & 10 digit out of my head unit)
JetMouse Garmin Keygen v1.5 with Checksum Fix
Same thing here, ran it & it asked for FID & 10 digit numbers
Like I said I can not get past the "GARMIN" startup screen to get into the system to see anything related to the GPS.
So I am still needing help please
Every map (.img) has its own FID, Maps threads show this FID.
With this FID and your unit ID you can create the .unl file as explained in linked thread.
In few words, build your usb pen with the mentioned structure (see that thread) get your gps unit ID, build the .unl file made for it and map FID with JM kg. Insert. Usb stick in your unit and update it.
I don't know your navigation unit, but reading threads helps.
I think you can get unit ID even if navigation doesn't work. I think unit can be started and you can reach some options to get it.
You must read!

I do the threads truly, but being a novice & not understanding all terminology it becomes unreadable due to not knowing how to drill down. You say read the thread which thread you have pointed to multiple ones. Evidently I am in kindergarten level to your level. So please bear with me & point me to which thread & what to drill down to. I can pull my unit if needed. There are no 10 digit id's but maybe on the case itself.
Be patient please, I am trying
